Due to the pandemic and social distancing requirements, many of our patrons were not able to make it to the in-person performances. Now that we can safely return to Carpenter Hall, please continue to enjoy these concerts available online from Season 65.

From Sinatra to Diamond (and everything in between), Allan’s energy, showmanship and musical talent will have you on your feet and begging for more.

Modern Cajon Jazz Ensemble

The Modern Cajon Jazz Ensemble brings some of Dallas’ most exciting jazz artists together for an unexpected evening of entertainment: percussion-driven jazz featuring instruments ranging from the traditional to the unique. The ensemble takes its name from a Cuban drum called a cajon, a box drum, used in traditional and contemporary Cubano music.

Dave Washburn Band

The Dave Washburn Band is a six-piece traditional New Orleans style group playing hot jazz, swing, dixieland, big band tunes, and other varieties. You may hear some Sinatra style “croon tunes,” an Elvis or Chuck Berry song, or maybe even a polka or two, especially around Oktoberfest season.

Dionne

Texas-born Dionne, is an inspirational artist in possession of a dynamic voice with a neo-soulful vibe. A singer/songwriter who paints vivid pictures with her music, Dionne’s gift is the ability to express thoughtful themes in simple yet poetic terms. Her powerful R&B and smooth jazz sound feels refreshing and her music is real, simple, optimistic and relatable.
