Subscriber Virtual Concerts

We had hoped to be back in Carpenter Hall enjoying live music again but unfortunately, that couldn’t happen. However, we were able to create two virtual concerts for you to safely watch in the comfort of your home!

Nothing compares to being able to see a concert in person but we think you’ll agree that continuing to support the arts, while remaining safe, is the next best thing. We hope you enjoy the virtual concerts!

Modern Cajon Jazz Ensemble

The Modern Cajon Jazz Ensemble brings some of Dallas’ most exciting jazz artists together for an unexpected evening of entertainment: percussion-driven jazz featuring instruments ranging from the traditional to the unique. The ensemble takes its name from a Cuban drum called a cajon, a box drum, used in traditional and contemporary Cubano music.

Special thanks to Rod and Janet Curry for volunteering their time to help in the production of the concert.

Dave Washburn Band

The Dave Washburn Band is a six-piece traditional New Orleans style group playing hot jazz, swing, dixieland, big band tunes, and other varieties. You may hear some Sinatra style “croon tunes,” an Elvis or Chuck Berry song, or maybe even a polka or two, especially around Oktoberfest season.
